June 01, 2024

The new academic year 2024-25 commenced with a warm and enthusiastic welcome for the students, setting a positive tone for the exciting journey ahead. The ceremony began with a prayer service led by Ms Ashwini D'Souza. The official inauguration of the new academic year was marked by the lighting of the lamp by Principal Fr Melwyn Lobo SJ, Vice-principal Ms Laurel D'Souza, Coordinator of Class XI and XII Ms Deepa Karkada and student representatives Master Princeton from Class X and Ms Shivani from Class XII. Newly joined students from classes VI to XII introduced themselves on stage, marking their entry into the school community. This was followed by a symbolic handover, where students were transitioned from their class teachers of the previous academic year (2023-24) to their new class teachers. Teachers were then introduced to the assembly, allowing students to familiarize themselves with their mentors for the year. Principal Fr Melwyn Lobo SJ delivered an inspiring and motivational address, emphasizing the power of positive thinking and speech. He encouraged students to embrace the new academic year with enthusiasm, determination, and a positive mindset. The ceremony also included birthday celebrations, with special wishes extended to Vice-Principal Ms Laurel D’Souza. The assembly concluded with the singing of the National Anthem, followed by the distribution of sweets, leaving everyone in high spirits as they embarked on the new academic year.
