
St Aloysius Gonzaga School, Mangaluru, commemorated the Feast of St Aloysius Gonzaga with great fervor and enthusiasm on June 20, 2024. The celebration, graced by the presence of students from Class I to V, began with a soulful prayer song, setting a reverent tone for the day. A warm welcome speech was delivered by Elissa of class VA, followed by an energetic action song, dance, drama and a video presentation. The Chief Guest, Fr Balaraju R SJ, Secretary and Treasurer of Mangaluru Jesuit Educational Society in his address elaborated on the life of St Aloysius Gonzaga & also gave a valuable example on how we can help someone without making them feel low about themselves. Principal Fr Melwyn Anil Lobo SJ in his message emphasised on St Aloysius being a good student, avoiding distractions while staying focused on the important things in life. In observance of International Yoga Day, a segment was dedicated to discussing the significance of yoga and a display of different Yoga Asanas.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Daksh of class V A. The program was hosted by class VA, II A and I A respectively. Ms Teena, Ms Roopa and Ms Preethi was the program coordinators and Ms Bethilda was the supporting teacher. Nidish of class V A compered the program.
