Bakrid celebration-Classes VI to XII

St Aloysius Gonzaga school celebrated Bakrid, or Eid-ul-Adha, with a special assembly on June 18, 2024.  Ms Nazleen Kaiser proud parent of Mohammed Ayaan Hussain for Class XII and Zeba Mumtaz of Class IX A graced the programme of Classes VI to XII, as the Chief Guest. The program began with an invocation of God's blessings, this was followed by a welcome address from George Thomas of Class VII B. Trisha from class VII B highlighted the significance of the day. In observance of Bakrid a short video was presented on the significance of the festival. The students of classes VI A and VII B presented a wonderful dance performance. Addressing the students, the Chief Guest said that Eid-ul-Adha symbolizes the profound love and trust that believers have in God, exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim's willingness to sacrifice his son in obedience to God's command.   The principal, Fr Melwyn Anil Lobo SJ, addressed the students, emphasizing that sacrifice and brotherhood should be embraced by everyone in our lives. The Vote of thanks was delivered by Aamirah Sabir of class VI A. The program concluded with the singing of the National Anthem.  The program was compered by Master Vardhan of class VI A and coordinated by Ms Ashwini Lewis and Ms Preethi Pais
