St Aloysius Gonzaga School witnessed the Culmination of Social Science Week celebration, on 29th November 2022.The programme commenced with a divine prayer song by the choir group. Master Ivor Amon Lasrado of Class IX welcomed the gathering. The significance was highlighted by Ms Rafa Uzma of Class IX and an informative session of Mock Parliament presented by students of Class VII, VIII & IX. Principal Father Melwyn Anil Lobo SJ, in his address highlighted three aspects to the students, firstly, to learn, understand and acquire knowledge, secondly, to enhance the skill of critical thinking and thirdly,to develop the attitude of leadership, so that the leaders take the country on the path of development. He congratulated all the participants of “Youth Parliament” for giving thestudents the taste of Parliament.
Ms Ziya Fathima Kunhi Parambath of Class IX proposed the vote of thanks. The program was compered by Ms Aishel Fernandes and Ms Alida Laurel Rodrigues. On the occasion of Social Science Week various activities were conducted for Class I to IX like drawing colouring, chart making on Constitution, Preamble writing, concept maps etc. This programme was coordinated by Ms Laurel D’Souza, Ms Sandhya Manoj, Ms Precilla Sequeira and Ms Veena Mayekar.
