St Aloysius Gonzaga School inaugurated Sahaya and Eco club for class XI students on 4th November 2022 for the academic year 2022-23. Mr Mark Pereira, Coordinator of Centre for Social Concern, St Aloysius PU College and Mr Arjun Mascarenhas, Environmental officer of St Aloysius degree College along with the Principal Fr Melwyn Anil Lobo SJ symbolically inaugurated the clubs by lighting the lamp. Addressing the students, Mr Mark Pereira emphasized on the social responsibilities of the students to create a humane society with compassion and commitment. Another resource person of the day Mr Arjun Mascarenhas urged the students to be ecologically sensitive and encouraged the students to grow at least one sapling at home. Principal Fr Melwyn Anil Lobo SJ, while addressing the students explained the objectives of Sahaya and Eco Club, and asked the students to be proactive and involve wholeheartedly in all the activities of the club. He also highlighted on the green initiatives taken up by the school and encouraged the students to involve themselves in many more activities planned by the Sahaya and Eco Club in the coming days.
The welcome address was delivered by Ms Shamitha Shetty and the vote of thanks was proposed by Ms Deepa Karkada. The programme was compered by Ms Tanuja Domber.
