‘Gonzaga Got Talent’ – A Cultural Extravaganza

St Aloysius Gonzaga School Students have an ocean of talents in them and to exhibit these talents ‘Gonzaga Got Talent – 2022’ was held on 13th and 14th October.

The programme began by lighting the lamp and inaugurating GGT-2022 by the Principal Fr Melwyn Anil Lobo SJ, Vice Principal Ms Laurel Dsouza, Programme Coordinators Ms Preethan Pereira and Ms Gloria Misquith along with the judges of the various competitions Ms Shilpa Cutinha, Ms Suzanne Misquith and Ms Joshal Sweeda Dsouza.

All the students  extraordinarily displayed their talents in various competitions such as: Paint Your Imagination (Painting), Chef Planet (Cooking Without Fire), Sound Wave (Instrumental Music), Rang Tarang (Free Hand Rangoli), Untapped Talent (Special Talent), Bottle Beauty (Bottle Art), Express & Impress (Dance), The Voice of Gonzaga (Singing), Young Picasso (Colouring), Fanciful Fiesta (Fancy Dress), Model in Colours (Clay Modelling), Alpana (Floral Rangoli), Story Marathon (Story Narration), Poetry Out Loud (Poetry Recitation), Drawing the Desire (Drawing), Rejoice to Recreate (Trash into Treasure).

The culmination and prize distribution ceremony of Gonzaga Got Talent was organized on 14 November 2022 with great vigour and enthusiasm. The Chief Guest Ms Ester Noronha, an Indian actress, playback singer in South Indian films, Principal Fr Melwyn Anil Lobo SJ and Vice Principal Ms Laurel Dsouza were the dignitaries of the programme. All the students and teachers were present on the occasion. The valedictory ceremony commenced by invoking God's blessings through a prayer song. The students welcomed the gathering through a marvelous welcome dance. Ms Aparna Suresh welcomed the dignitaries and the gathering to the momentous event. 

Then followed the prize distribution ceremony. The students who had won in various events conducted under different categories were awarded with trophies and certificates. 

The dignitaries of the day officially released the school magazine of the year 2021-22 with the theme "To See All Things New” with great zeal. The magazine successfully accomplished its objective. The reflection of the students’ creativity and achievements was portrayed in the magazine.

The Chief Guest Ms Ester Noronha with her inspirational message appreciated all the students who have put in a lot of effort in exhibiting their talents in various events. Ms Noronha also emphasized on not to focus on competition, but to work hard to grow up in life. The Chief Guest who is a playback singer also entertained the students with a beautiful number.

The Principal, Fr Melwyn Anil Lobo SJ motivated the students to discover the talents in them nurture and exhibit the talents through the opportunities that comes their way.  He also appreciated all the students who had taken part in various events and the teachers who put their effort in making the programme a successful one. 

The programme was coordinated by Ms. Preethan Pereira and Ms Gloria Misquith. The vote of thanks was proposed by Ms Arunima Tulasidas and the programme was compered by Ms Shamitha Shetty. The students dispersed with a note of positivity and encouragement to display their talents in the future events too.
