Training session for Class VIII and IX 2022-23

“Goal setting, Effective study techniques and how to face exams confidently.”

St Aloysius Gonzaga School organized a training session for students of Class VIII and IX on 10th October 2022 on the topic “Goal setting, Effective study techniques and how to face exams confidently”.  Prof. Ronald Pinto, Director of the Institute for Individual Development Mangaluru, was the resource person for the training session.

The session was initiated by our Principal Fr Melwyn Anil Lobo SJ by stating that learning opportunities need to be taken advantage of as learning happens beyond the walls of the classroom and also mentioned that such training sessions help each student to get a direction for a better future.

The session was then led by the resource person Prof. Ronald Pinto who highlighted the importance to have Goals and aims in life,to lead a better and brighter future. He also emphasized exploring different ways of learning and being aware of different competitive exams throughout the country as well as international-based entrance exams. He introduced different career options and institutes offering the same, to students. He also touched upon the five stages of effective studying which could be a great help to the students of Class VIII and IX. The students were engaged in brain storming activities and they actively involved themselves in interacting with the resource person.

The dignitaries were welcomed by Ms Shilpa Ballal for Class VIII and Ms Ashwini Lewis for Class IX. Ms Veena Mayekar proposed the vote of thanks for Class VIII and Ms Tanuja Domber for Class IX. The sessions were compered by Ms Sushmitha K.S and Ms Betila Sequeira.
