12th Annual Day 'Samanvay-Bridging Cultures' - Class III to V

St Aloysius Gonzaga School celebrated its 12th Annual Day for Classes III to V on 15 December 2023, with the theme 'Samanvay-Bridging Cultures'.  Ms Corrine Antoinette Rasquina, Founder and President of White Doves, was the Chief Guest of the programme. Fr Mewlin Pinto SJ, Rector of St Aloysius Institutions presided over the function.

The Chief Guest while addressing the gathering congratulated the Jesuits for their immense contribution to the overall development of the students. She highlighted giving importance to students’ mental health, instilling values, nurturing skills of resilience and fostering love. In conclusion, she added to teach our children faith and prayer apart from academic excellence.  

Fr Melwin Joseph Pinto SJ, Rector of St Aloysius Institutions in his presidential address quoted, “We are all citizens of the world and need to reach out to others to break the barriers and build bridges and grow as one human family. The activities taken up by the Institute help foster the students to cultivate the value of going beyond the confines of me -myself”.

The programme commenced by invoking the blessings of the Almighty followed by the Welcome Dance. Vice Principal Ms Aparna Suresh welcomed the gathering and introduced the Chief Guest.

The annual report of the school was presented by the Principal Fr Melwyn Anil Lobo S J followed by a video presentation highlighting the activities of from December 2022 to November 2023. The toppers of the previous academic year 2022-23 and CBSE South Zone swimming achievers were honored with a certificate and memento. CBSE National achievers in swimming were felicitated.

All the students from Class III to Class V participated in the programme wholeheartedly. It was a fusion of zestful dance and melodious songs. There was a jovial atmosphere all around and the students lit up the stage with their captivating performances highlighting the theme of the Annual Day.

Vice Principals Ms Laurel D’souza & Ms Aparna Suresh, PTA Vice-president Mr Abhilash Dominic, Programme Coordinators Ms Deepa Karkada & Ms Preethan Pereira were the other dignitaries present for the program.

The programme was compered by Gianna Pinto of class IV C, Emmanuel Darren of class V C, Johann Abilash of class V D, Insha Luthfiya Isaq of class III A and Samarth Salian of class IV A. The vote of thanks was proposed by Ms Preethan Pereira.
