St Aloysius Gonzaga School organized a training session for students of Class X on 30 September 2023 on the topic “Career Guidance”. Mr. Manoj Louis, Assistant professor at Dr.P.Dayananda Pai-P.Satisha Pai Government First Grade College, Mangalore was the resource person for the session.
The session was initiated by our Principal Fr Melwyn Anil Lobo S.J by stating that choosing one’s career is a collaborative decision of both parents & the child.
The resource person Mr. Manoj Louis touched upon various topics like early & late bloomers, career buffet, cognitive dissonance, self-introspection, learning from failures and career grazing tips. He shared his personal experience as a parent & how he helped his children choose their career paths. He also listed a menu of options available in different fields that the children can choose from. He also took their opinion on other fields that might not have been listed. The students interacted well with the resource persons in clarifying their queries.
Ms Preethan Pereira welcomed the gathering. Ms Raksha K proposed the vote of thanks. The session was compered by Ms Shilpa Ballal.
