Bakrid Celebration Classes I to V

‘The richness and depth of celebration express a culture accurately’

The students of classes I to V celebrated Bakrid on 1 July 2023, by outlining its significance through a short programme. Ms Fathima Sabra, proud parent of Inaya of class I C and Abdul Wadud of class IV B was the Chief Guest of the day. She delivered an excellent speech reflecting the essence of sacrifice, reflection, reaching out to the needy and the poor and making time for the creator. Principal Father Melwyn Anil Lobo SJ, highlighted the message of celebrating Bakrid by submission to God, compassion towards others and sharing the blessing with the less fortunate. The programme included a melodious prayer song, followed by Qawwali and a dance performance by the enthusiastic students. Joann Elizabeth Abhilash of class V D anchored the programme and Ashlesh Shetty from class V B delivered a warm welcome address Vice- principal Ms Aparna Suresh was present. Ms Divya K and Ms Teena Elizabeth Abraham were the programme coordinators.
