The investiture ceremony of the student council for the Academic Year 2023-24 was held in St Aloysius Gonzaga School with great zeal in a solemn ceremony, on 30 June 2023. The programme commenced with a grand student council march, showcasing the elected members and their respective positions. This was followed by a prayer, setting a solemn and auspicious tone for the proceedings.
The sashes and badges, representing the authority and responsibility of the student council members, were presented by the dignitaries Chief Guest Mr V.M. Joshi, Sr Comdt./CASO, ASG, Mangaluru, Principal Fr. Melwyn Anil Lobo SJ, and Vice Principal Ms Laurel Dsouza.
Thereafter, the oath-taking ceremony was administered by the Principal, wherein the student council members pledged to carry out their roles with integrity and dedication. The Head Boy, Chinmay Sachidananda of Class X, and Head Girl, Gianna Melosa Fernandes of Class XII, expressed their gratitude and shared their visions for the upcoming academic year.
The Chief Guest, Mr. V.M. Joshi delivered an inspiring speech. He urged them to be exemplary individuals, believing in themselves and striving to make a positive impact on others. Following the Chief Guest's address, Principal Fr. Melwyn Anil Lobo SJ delivered a motivational speech, highlighting the three essential aspects of leadership qualities: leading, serving, and setting an example.
The convenors of the programme were Ms Sandhya Manoj, Ms Shilpa R Ballal, Ms Jisha Thomas, and Ms Deepa Karkada. Ms Tanuja Domder compered the programme, Ms Deepa Karkada welcomed the gathering and Ms Shilpa R Ballal proposed the vote of thanks. The event concluded with the singing of the National Anthem, reflecting the unity and pride of the school community.
