St Aloysius Gonzaga School organised a teacher enrichment programme on May 25 2023 conducted by Ms Patsy Lobo and Dr Derek Lobo and members of the Catholic Association of South Canara (CASK) along with their team members. The programme began with a prayer song followed by the lighting of the lamp while the song of Universal Light was being played in the background. Principal Fr Melwyn Anil Lobo SJ welcomed the gathering and resource persons Captain Vincent Pais, the president of CASK, Ms Patsy Lobo, Dr Derek Lobo, Ms Vidya Shenoy, Ms Bharathi Shevgoor, Mr Archie Menezes and other members of the CASK with saplings. The principal encouraged the teachers to always update their knowledge and be passionate about teaching which can inspire young minds.
The President of CASK, Captain Vincent Pais addressed the gathering and highlighted the activities of CASK. Ms Patsy Lobo began the first session of the day on ‘Self Enhancement and Value of being a Teacher’. She stressed the importance of being optimistic and enhancing relationships with self and others. The other resource persons discussed various topics like how to be a Passionate and Inspirational Teacher, Financial Planning, Balancing Work and Home, Relations in Workplace, Media Literacy, Modern Communication and how to prepare an attractive CV.
The teachers marched in holding candles with pride and wearing the sash which was inscribed with special notes of love and appreciation. To motivate the teachers, each one of them was awarded a certificate. Ms Bindhiya proposed the vote of thanks and expressed gratitude on behalf of all staff of St Aloysius Gonzaga School. The programme was compered by Ms Acquina Rebello.
The programme left behind the knowledge and ideas received by different resource persons in the minds of teachers who were grateful to these eminent speakers.
