REPORT ON GANDHI JAYANTHI CELEBRATION 2022

“Happiness is when what you think, what you say, and what you do are in harmony”  – Mahatma Gandhi.

Gandhi Jayanthi was celebrated at St. Aloysius Gonzaga School on 2nd October 2022 in St. Aloysius Gonzaga Hall. Both teaching and non-teaching staff members actively took part in the event.

The programme commenced with a prayer song led by Mr Alister Lasrado. The significance of the day was shared by Ms Neha Suares. The Principal Fr. Melwyn Anil Lobo SJ, co-ordinators of various subjects, office staff and the support staff paid homage to the great leader by offering flowers. A video on the values of Mahatma Gandhi was presented by Ms Sheethal Dsouza. The Principal in his address emphasised on the values of Mahatma Gandhi such as non-violence, truth, peace and sarvodaya (upliftment of all). He also advised to revive and to rekindle these values as we are about to enter an era known as “Amrith Kaal”.

The programme was compered by Ms Lorina Dsouza. Ms. Ashwini Lewis proposed the vote of thanks followed by the National Anthem. Ms Precilla Sequeira and Ms Sheethal Dsouza coordinated the programme.
