‘To teach is to touch a life forever.’

To mark the birth anniversary of Dr S Radhakrishnan, the second President of India, the Student Council 2022-23 of St Aloysius Gonzaga School organized a zestful cultural  programme on 5 September 2022. Appreciating the efforts of the student council, headed by Head boy Aaron Dsouza and Head girl Hanaan Fathima Habeeb, the Principal Fr Melwyn Anil Lobo SJ in his address recalled Dr S Radhakrishnan’s love for teachers. He also emphasised the ten oaths shared by of Dr APJ Abdul Kalam, Former President, to the teachers of our nation. The program commenced by welcoming the Principal, Vice-principal, teachers and non-teaching staff by the students who were thrilled to welcome them with cheers and applause. The Gonzagaites expressed their gratitude and love for their teachers through a fun-filled, vivacious cultural programme which had singing, dances, skit and spot games. Tia Marian Eustace of Class X took the responsibility of expressing gratitude to the teachers through a heartwarming speech. Disha Richelle Sequeira of class X highlighted the significance of the day and Shazana Thasneem of Class IX compered the programme. The programme concluded by singing the school anthem and distributing snacks.
Further, the Parent-Teacher Executive Committee organised a get-together for the staff in the afternoon. The president of the PTEC Mr Abhilash Dominic and the members entertained the teachers with various programmes including song, dance, fun-filled games and a speech, thanking the teachers. The Principal honoured the teachers with gifts from the management and the Parent-Teacher Executive Committee. A fellowship meal was organised for teachers. The entire day’s programme was applauded by everyone present and will always remain a beautiful memory in the hearts of one and all present.
