“World Earth Day” is observed on 22 April, all over the world to sensitise people to take care of our common home, mother earth. In connection with this International Day, the world-wide network of Jesuit schools – Educate Magis had organised a connected classroom project on the topic, ‘Lasting relationships with the Earth and all of Creation’ which was held on 22 April 2022. The student representatives of class X participated in this virtual project explaining the initiatives taken by the school to make the campus eco-friendly. There were schools from Spain, Zimbabwe and Italy who shared their eco-friendly ideas with each other. It was a wonderful opportunity and exposure for Gonzagaites to be a part of this project, to meet students from different parts of the world and share their ideas on an international platform. The Principal Father Melwyn Anil Lobo SJ, was present on this occasion and conveyed his best wishes to all the participants. The project was coordinated by Ms Aparna Suresh and Ms Deepa Karkada.
