Outreach Programmes - Classes VI to X

February 20, 2025

The Outreach Program for the Academic Year 2024-25 unfolded beautifully from January 15 to February 20, 2025, offering students from Classes VI to X a profound opportunity to engage in social service and community interaction. This initiative not only aimed to cultivate empathy and social consciousness among students but also allowed them to connect with various organizations and orphanages  in and around Mangaluru on specially designated days. Through these enriching visits, students discovered the joy of giving and embraced the essential importance of supporting those in need.  Class X commenced the experience by visiting White Doves on January 15, while Class IX devoted their time to the Charity Home of Mother Teresa on January 25, 29, and 31. Class VIII made their compassionate presence known at PrashanthNivas on February 3, 5, 7, and 10. Meanwhile, Class VII engaged warmly with the elderly at St. Antony's Old Age Home on February 19, and Class VI shared their kindness at Little Sisters of the Poor on February 18 and 20, 2025.  At each venue, students were warmly welcomed with insightful briefings from the heads of the organizations, followed by interactive sessions where they showcased cultural performances, spreading joy and inspiration among the residents. These meaningful conversations with the elderly, differently-abled, and underprivileged individuals offered students invaluable insights into their lives, fostering empathy, gratitude, and a deep sense of social responsibility. They learned first-hand the significance of kindness, respect, and the impact of small acts of service in making a real difference.  Throughout the academic year 2024-25, students generously collected birthday funds, which were donated to each organization, reinforcing the noble habit of giving. The program was masterfully coordinated by dedicated school counselors, Ms. Hensita D’Costa and Ms. Bethilda Lisa Andrade, who encouraged students to reflect on their transformative experiences. This initiative emerged as a truly enriching journey, touching hearts and shaping minds, leaving a lasting impact on everyone involved.
