
St Aloysius Gonzaga School celebrated the 76th Republic Day and the Math Week Culmination on January 27, 2025, integrating patriotism with mathematical learning in a unique way.
The celebrations began on January 26, 2025, with the hoisting of the national flag by the Principal, Father Melwyn Anil Lobo SJ, in the school premises. In his address, he reminded students of their duty to uphold the values enshrined in the Constitution.
On January 27, the Republic Day and Math Week Culmination program was held. The Chief Guest, Lt Col Jagadish from the Indian Army, inspired students with his motivating speech, emphasizing the importance of discipline, hard work, and perseverance.
The event featured a vibrant cultural program by the students of Class III D, V D, VI D, and VIII D, creatively integrating mathematics with patriotic themes. A special video showcasing various Math Week activities was presented, highlighting the practical applications of mathematics. Winners of the Sudoku competition were also felicitated during the program.
The celebration was well-coordinated by Ms Precilla Sequeira, Ms Sushma, Ms Rashmi, Ms Deepthi Karkada, and Ms Jisha Thomas, making the event a memorable and enriching experience.
