A session on "Social Analysis" For Class IX

On 26 November 2024, St Aloysius Gonzaga School marked Constitutional Day with a training session for Class IX students on "Social Analysis," led by Ms Vidya Dinker, a renowned social activist. The program began with Principal Fr Melwyn Anil Lobo S.J., highlighting the importance of understanding constitutional values. He urged students to reflect on their rights and responsibilities as citizens while fostering respect and inclusivity. This was followed by Ms Nysha Kamath of Class IX A leading the oath-taking of the Indian Preamble, honouring the occasion. Ms Vidya Dinker’s session focused on the significance of the Constitution and the rights outlined in its Preamble. She detailed the Constituent Assembly's efforts in drafting the Constitution and discussed key themes, including children’s rights, the abolition of untouchability, and women’s empowerment through constitutional provisions. Ms Dinker emphasized the principles of equality, secularism and fraternity as foundational to building harmonious communities. She concluded by urging students to practice "radical love" and uphold equality in their daily lives. Ms Bethilda Lisa welcomed the gathering, compered the program, and delivered the vote of thanks. The subject teachers of Class IX actively supported the event, making it a meaningful learning experience.
