St Aloysius Gonzaga School marked its 13th Annual Day celebration on 20 December 2024 with remarkable enthusiasm and splendor. The occasion was graced by the presence of the Chief Guest, Shri Mullai Muhilan MP, IAS, Deputy Commissioner of Dakshina Kannada, President of the programme Fr Balaraju R. SJ, Secretary & Treasurer of the Mangalore Jesuit Educational Society and the Principal, Fr Melwyn Anil Lobo SJ. The Chief Guest Shri Mullai Muhilan, in his address urged parents and students to take small yet impactful steps to maintain the city's cleanliness by avoiding littering in public spaces, reducing single-use plastics, and segregating waste, thereby contributing to a greater environmental cause. In his Presidential address, Fr Balaraju R. SJ congratulated the students for their achievements and appreciated the progress of the school. Fr. Melwyn Anil Lobo SJ, the Principal, acknowledged the steadfast support of the management, parents and highlighted the school's activities and achievements through a comprehensive Annual Report. Academic excellence was appreciated by honouring the toppers and sports achievers who reached significant milestones in their respective fields. Yuvaj D Kunder who secured gold medal in the CBSE National Level Skating competition and Shelina Laxmidas of Class X who got selected to represent Karnataka in the BCCI under 15 Girls cricket Team were felicitated by the dignitaries. The cultural segment of students from Classes VII to XII captivated the audience by an array of performances, including dances, skits, and orchestral renditions, all centered around the theme of the Annual Day. Vice-Principals Ms Laurel D’Souza and Ms Aparna Suresh, Parent-Teacher Association’s Vice-president Ms Reena Noronha, Programme Coordinators Ms Sandhya Manoj and Ms Vidya Esther, Head Boy Master Joel Abhilash, and Head Girl Ms Suman Viona Saldanha were among the dignitaries present at the program. The programme was compered by Ms Gianna Claire Saldanha, Master Titus Edwin Dsouza, Master Muhammed Ihsan Shahim, Master Saatwik Nayak Sujir, Ms Rhea Jessica Rego, Ms Divita Shaloni D'cunha, Ms Andrea Deana Pinto, Ms Eshaani Manoranjan Rao, Master Ashton Cleavon Pinto, Master Akshar Lenin, Master Keegan Shane Albert and Ms Druhi Anoop Kumar Naik. Ms Laurel D Souza welcomed the gathering and the vote of thanks was proposed by Ms Sandhya Manoj.
