
The tiny tots of Kindergarten celebrated Fruit Salad Day on 16 October, 2024. It was a fun filled day at the Kindergarten section. The occasion was to teach the students the health benefits of fruits. Each student brought one fruit and enjoyed pealing, cutting and mixing the fruits with ice cream and custard, eating together with their peers singing a rhyme on fruits. Children also coloured the picture of the fruit basket as a part of the classroom activity. The teachers explained the importance of fruits and intake in diet for mental and physical growth. The tiny tots learned more about the taste, smell, colour and texture of each fruit. Principal, Father Melwyn Anil Lobo SJ visited each class. He gave the importance of different fruits to the children and asked some questions to them which they answered happily. He encouraged the students to eat healthy food and appreciated and thanked the teachers and students for their active participation in conducting the fruit salad day. The day was indeed very fruitful and relishing.
