The Deepavali Programme at St Aloysius Gonzaga School was celebrated with grandeur on 4 November, 2024. The event was graced by the Chief Guest, Ms Ashwini Hattiholi, Principal Senior Civil Judge and Chief Judicial Magistrate, Mangaluru. The Chief Guest, Ms Ashwini Hattiholi, delivered an inspiring Message, encouraging the students to embrace the values of kindness, patience and resilience, which are symbolized by Deepavali. Fr Melwyn Anil Lobo SJ, the Principal, also shared a motivating Message, urging students to strive for excellence while being grounded in humility and service to others. The Diya Lighting ceremony, symbolizing the triumph of light over darkness, was conducted by the dignitaries along with student representatives. The cultural programme included a special song, skit, dance and significance of the day, enlightening the audience on the essence and cultural importance of the festival. Vice-principal Ms Laurel D Souza was present. The programme was hosted by Drishya Mohan Kumar and Mark Aaryan Noronha of Class VIII B and Ayan Jitesh and Farhan of Class VI C. The event was coordinated by Mr Kiran Crasta and Ms Mallika. The Deepavali Programme was a wonderful display of cultural appreciation, unity, and joy.
