With a vision to “Cultivate one million children in India as Neoteric Innovators”, Atal Innovation Mission has established Atal Tinkering Laboratories (ATL) in schools across India. St Aloysius Gonzaga School was active throughout the Academic Year 2022-23 in conducting ATL classes where our students got hands-on experience in preparing working models.
ATL FEST, an exhibition of working models was held on 10 April 2023 in Gonzaga Hall which included 26 models based on technologies like Robotics, Sensor technologies, Voice based home Automation, Luggage monitoring app and coding. Principal Fr Melwyn Anil Lobo SJ, ATL instructor Mr Manoj, Vice-principal Ms Laurel D Souza graced the occasion.Students of ATL along with their parents were present during the opening ceremony. A PowerPoint presentation on the activities and sessions conducted during the year 2022-2023 was presented to the audience. Our Principal Fr Melwyn Anil Lobo SJ addressed the students on this occasion and encouraged them to be innovators for a better society. He also appreciated the students and parents for their active participation and cooperation, instructor Mr Manoj and his team members along with the ATL in-charge teacher Ms Deepa Karkada assisted by Ms Jyothsna and Ms Swathi for their constant support and guidance. Students who participated in ATL Fest were awarded with participation certificates by the dignitaries.Ms Swathi welcomed the gathering and Ms Sushmitha proposed the vote of thanks. Ms Tanuja Domber compered the programme. The students developed confidence while explaining the various projects and activities that were displayed. The active participation by the students in ATL and coding will definitely empower the transformation of new idea through their innovative and scientific thinking.
