Investiture Ceremony, Bunny Movement 2022-23

Bunny Movement is a programme initiatedby Mrs Lakshmi Mazumdar, the former National Commissioner, for children between the age group of 3 to 6 years during the 'International year of the child’. It is a wing of the Scoutand Guide programme with a motive to bring the boys and girls into scouting at an early stage of life so that they will get exposure to discipline, patriotism, and moral character. St Aloysius Gonzaga School organised an investiture ceremony of Bunny Movement2022-23 for the kindergartners, onthe 26thof August, 2022. All Kindergarteners of KG-I and KG-II were enrolled in the Bunny unit in a captivating ceremony.

The Chief Guest, Mr Anil Kumar J, Treasurer and Assistant District Commissioner, Bharath Scouts and Guides, inaugurated the Bunny Unit by lighting the lamp.The Principal Fr Melwyn Anil Lobo SJ, Vice-principal Ms Laurel D Souza, were the other dignitaries who joined in the inauguration. The Kindergartencoordinator Ms Aparna Suresh,Physical Education Teacher Ms Agnes Saldanha, Cub master Ms Shashikala andKindergarten teachers were present during the ceremony. The significance was the day was highlighted by Ms Veronica D'Souza. The smart bunnies received the Bunny aprons from the Chief Guest and other dignitaries. The little Bunnies repeated the oath after the Principal‘Ishall try to be a good child’, which was followed by a bunny salute and a rhythmic mass drill led by Ms Agnes Saldanha.

The Chief Guest addressed the students and explained the motto of the Bunny Movement, “Keep Smiling”.Principal, Fr Melwyn Anil Lobo SJ lovingly spoke to children and told them to be as active as bunnies, love God, love nature and participate in all the creative activities under the Bunny Movement programme. He encouraged them to develop team spirit and grow as wonderful personalities.

Ms Rashmi C welcomed the gathering. The vote of thanks was proposed by Ms Anitha Nazareth and the ceremony was compered by Ms MishalCarel. We congratulate all the smart bunnies for their active participation in the programme.
