The Feast of St Aloysius Gonzaga, our Patron Saint was celebrated on 21 June 2022, at St Aloysius Gonzaga School. Fr Anush D’Cunha SJ, Mangaluru was the main celebrant of the festal Eucharist Mass. The mass was attended by all catholic students and teachers.

Soon after the Eucharistic celebration, a programme was organized for the students of Classes III to XI. The programme commenced by invoking god’s blessing through a prayer dance, followed by the significance of the day. A video on the life of St Aloysius Gonzaga was played to help the students know their Patron better. A skit was performed on ‘Being compassionate’ which was applauded by all.

The Chief Guest Fr Anush D’Cunha SJ, Director of Loyola Jesuit Pre-novitiate, Mangalore urged the students to remember the qualities of our patron and apply them to our life. He further emphasized reaching out to the needy and making one’s life meaningful.

The Principal Fr Melwyn Anil Lobo SJ in his address highlighted two aspects of St Aloysius Gonzaga’s life, first one is his love for God and the second is his love for people. He further urged the students to live exemplary life by excelling in studies and serving the people.

As a preparation for the feast, the school conducted various activities. Students participated in these activities with passion and interest. Ms Acquina Rebello welcomed the gathering and Ashlyn Nisha Aranha of Class XI proposed the vote of thanks. The programme was compered of Leona Melinda D’Souza of Class XI. Ms Gloria Misquith and Ms Vidya Esther were the programme coordinators.
