National Science Day

St Aloysius Gonzaga School observed the National Science Day on 28 February 2023, to mark the discovery of the Raman Effect in 1928 by Indian Physicist Sir CV Raman. 

The Principal Fr Melwyn Anil Lobo SJ inaugurated the special assembly by conducting the acid and base experiment. He addressed the students on the importance of science in our day-to-day life and how significant the role it plays in designing the present and future. Science coordinator Ms Deepa Karkada gave the highlights of the day.

The day was also a platform for the young innovators of classes VI to VIII to exhibit their science models. All the students who presented the science models were honoured with participation certificates during the assembly.

The programme concluded with the quote Ask the right questions, and nature will open the doors to her secrets by Sir CV Raman. The event was coordinated by Ms Bhindia D’Souza.
