Class II Field Trip

November 03, 2022

The school organized a field trip for class II to Guttu house, Heritage village, Science Museum, Pilikula Zoo and Pilikula Nisargadhama on        3-11-2022. 128 Students and 8 faculties left the school at 9.00 am after the prayer. The Principal Fr Melwyn Anil Lobo SJ blessed the students as they left the school in a cheerful mood. The trip began with visiting the Guttu house (Guttu Mane) which reflects the cultural identity of Dakshina Kannada and then Heritage village where they witnessed the making of beaten rice, oil extraction, stone carvings, black smithy, handloom, carpentry, sales outlet, cane and bamboo furniture. It gave an idea to students about the art and craft practised over the generations in our district.

Then they were thrilled to see the Science Museum where they enjoyed seeing the science world as a magical world. They also visited Pilikula Zoo to see animals and birds and at last, they spent their time at Pilikula Nisargadhama lake and garden. It was an interesting and informative and successful visit. A journey in a tourist bus made their day memorable by listening to songs, singing and dancing with their peers and teachers. At the end of the day, students carried home the adventurous and fun-filled memories of the field trip.
